WORSHIP ARTS
Since worship is a such a big part of what we do here at COTN, we try to provide as many areas for people to use their gifts and get involved as possible. Because of this we have several specialized groups for people to use their artistic giftings to worship the Lord.
PRAISE TEAM:
The first thing that people think of when they hear the word 'worship' is singing. At Church of the Nations, we're definitely not short on that. We love to come together to worship the Lord with our voices as much as possible. To help us with that, a group of skilled vocalists and passionate worshippers has been raised up to lead us in corporately declaring our love for God. At any given service they can be seen helping Pastor Ian in leading worship.
WORSHIP & PERFORMANCE CHOIR:
Like most contemporary churches, we use praise teams every Sunday. However that doesn't mean we have done away with choir. The Worship & Performance Choir is an extremely important and powerful part of our Worship Arts Ministry and an exciting Small Group, which meets on a semester system. BAND:
The Psalms are full of commands to worship God with every kind of musical instrument imaginable. Here at COTN we strive to do just that. From hand drums and rain sticks to electric and acoustic guitars to trumpets and flutes, etc. we seek to glorify our Savior with every instrument we can get our hands on! But just like being in the choir, the highest priority for every band member is to worship Jesus Christ and lead others to do the same. HIGHEST PRAISE DANCE MINISTRY:
Have you ever been so overjoyed by God’s presence that you felt like your singing and hand raising just couldn’t adequately express the passion and 
fire you felt burning inside for the Lord? God created us to not only worship Him with our lips and hands, but with everything we are. In Highest Praise we focus on glorifying God and expressing praise and worship through the art of dance, using our whole selves! Our goal is to embrace ALL styles of dance and bring honor to God in the following ways:
1) To express praise and worship through the art of dance to edify the Body of Christ, 2) To partner with and work closely with the Worship Arts Ministry to usher in the presence of God to the Body, 3) To evangelize the lost through the gift of dance, 4) To equip and train in the ministry of dance with excellence, modesty, and pureness of hearts. But we don’t just dance! Every member of the team commits themselves to practices, Bible studies and discipleship training. This is a powerful place to not only use your gifts, but also to develop close relationships in a small group setting for discipleship and accountability. You don’t even have to be a “dancer” to be a part! Help with outfits, designing and sewing, intercessory prayer and discipleship are just some of the ways you can worship the Lord as a member of Highest Praise. GOD WANTS YOU!
We all have gifts the Lord has created us with and led us to develop. The greatest fulfillment we can have in life is when we give these talents back to Him as worship. Don’t bury your talents in the sand. Invest them in His kingdom, where the rewards are eternal and are guaranteed!
